Gary Player, one of the best golf player in history, was the designer and architect of the golf course in Cihelny. His company „Gary Player Design Company“ created a course of so called Scotish type here. The character of the course is based rather on its technical parameters than on its size. The golf course in Cihelny is outstanding for numerous water areas and the natural obstructions as well as the artificial ones It is really a course for champions but not only for professional players. Since the opening of the course in 2001 many top tournaments have taken place here. At the same time the Cihelny golf course provides the best conditions for non-professional players and even for utter beginners.

Which holes will you grow fond of at our course? One of the jewels of our course is the fifth hole (par 3), the tee box of which is situated on a rock. Local people say that this hole can be played even with a putter because the ball after drive will reach the green jumping over stones. Of course, it can also lose its way and that is why it is not recommended to try it.

We have a useful advice for you: Have some spare balls in your bag. The main reason is that at the second nine of the course a lot of water obstructions wait for you. Another hole that is worth mentioning is No 18, which slopes uphill steeply and some deep bunkers may annoy you there. In brief, you will never be bored at the Cihelny golf course.
